This is my surprise episode of the year (so far). To be honest, I was wondering how I might fill an hour talking to a bloke about breathing but in the end, we literally ran out of time and I was totally fascinated with what Patrick McKeown had to say. So, we’re all pretty good at breathing. Most of us have been doing it for quite a while but who knew that the ‘way’ we breathe (you mean there’s a better and worse technique?) can impact everything from athletic performance, recovery, sleep quality and energy levels to anxiety, depression, attention, concentration and more broadly, emotional and cognitive function. This episode gets better and better the further it goes but I will warn you that it’s a little ‘sciencey’ in parts. Enjoy.
