About The Workshop

Do you struggle to understand who you are, and why you are the way you are? Why you over-think, under-do, self-sabotage, invent problems and waste time, energy and potential on things you can’t change or control? Why you do dumb sh*t, when you know you’re not dumb? Why you keep doing things that don’t work? Starting things you don’t finish? Having the same pointless conversations with the same people (and yourself)? And have you considered where your programming and conditioning finish, and you (the blank canvas) might start? The untapped ‘you’ that exists beyond what you've been taught, told, trained and programmed to believe, think and do? The critical thinker that can escape the echo chamber and begin to understand your own mind? Emotions? Choices? Behaviours? Habits? And self-created reality?

There’s the ‘you’ that strangers meet, the you that family and close friends know (or think they know), the you that one or two special people get to know (usually one), the you that only you know, and then there’s the version of you, that even you don’t really know or understand. Yet. I call these ‘people’ public, personal, private, secret and potential you (the you, you might become). Are they all you? Are none of them you? And what’s the space between person and persona; actual you and the ‘you show’?

My experience and research tell me that many (most?) people derive their sense of self from something external; an appearance, job, achievement, number, reputation, accolade, possession. They inhabit an outside-in identity paradigm. It’s also my belief that, beyond the basics of survival (food, safety, shelter, etc.), understanding you, might be the greatest challenge of your life. It has been for me.

The journey of understanding the ‘self’ that is you, is one of self-reflection, self-awareness, self-knowledge, self-regulation and self-actualisation, and for some of you, this workshop might be a starting point to something amazing. I hope to see you there.

Love, Harps.
